EquiShure® is a time-released buffer that utilizes unique, patented encapsulation technology to help regulate acid levels in the hindgut. The pH of the hindgut varies in response to diet. Acidic shifts can be caused by carbohydrate-rich meals which increase acid-loving bacteria. Changes in the pH of the hindgut can cause subclinical acidosis, which can increase the risk of colic and laminitis. Signs of subclinical acidosis include decreased feed intake, complete inappetence, mild to moderate colic signs of unexplained origin, poor feed efficiency and subsequent weight loss, loss of performance, and development of certain vices such as wood chewing, weaving, and stall walking.

Directions For Use - Feed 30 to 180 g daily according to the horse’s size and risk for hindgut acidosis. Use the dosage table to determine recommended daily amount based on horse’s grain intake, forage source, and weight. Top-dress EquiShure on feed or give orally.
